The blade that stays in the saw

On a strip-out you are not sorting material before you cut it. Stud wall with plumbing in it, ceiling grid with hangers, framing with fixings still through it — a variable-pitch bi-metal blade handles all of it without a change. It will not out-cut a dedicated wood blade in clean timber or a carbide blade in heavy steel, but it will keep going when the material changes mid-cut, and that is what a demolition blade is for.

How does it compare to the carbide blade? This is the everyday blade for mixed material. For thick high-alloy steel, stainless, rebar and car beams, step up to the carbide-tooth.

Wood only, is there something faster? Yes, a coarse wood blade. This one trades a little speed in clean timber for not caring what it hits.

Do they fit my saw? Universal half-inch shank: Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt, Bosch and the rest.
