Will it cut steel? Yes — M42 bi-metal with cobalt is rated for mild steel, stainless sheet, aluminium and brass. Keep the speed down and use cutting fluid on anything thick.

Which arbor do I use? The 3/8" arbor suits the smaller saws, the 7/16" the larger. Both take the same pilot drill.

Does it fit other brands' arbors? Standard thread — it fits common hole saw arbors.
