DECISAFE—>Acoustic Blanket – 2400 x 1000mm | Site Hoarding & Enclosure Noise Control

$220.00

Hang it on the hoarding and take 28 decibels out of your project's noise impact. A four-layer acoustic curtain — PVC mesh tarpaulin, insulation felt, absorption wool and waterproof fibreglass — sized at 2400 × 1000mm so panels overlap into a continuous barrier across scaffold, fence or enclosure.

  • STC 28 dB Tested — the four-layer build, for work near residential, schools and occupied tenancies
  • 2400 × 1000mm Panels — full hoarding height, overlap horizontally for a continuous run
  • 560gsm PVC Mesh Coated Tarpaulin — the weather face, blue, built for outdoor exposure
  • 560gsm Sound Absorption Wool — soaks up reflected noise inside the enclosure instead of bouncing it
  • Reusable — comes down, rolls up, goes to the next job

Blocking versus absorbing

These do two jobs at once. The dense felt and PVC layers block transmission, and it is what the neighbours and the council notice. The absorption wool works on the inside face, cutting the reflected noise that builds up inside a hoarded or enclosed area and makes the whole site louder than the tool itself.

A single-layer tarp does neither. It flaps and it reflects.

Where it gets used

  • Hoarding and site fence lines on demolition and strip-out near residential.
  • Enclosures around a specific noise source such as a compressor, a crusher, a jackhammer pulling up tiles.
  • Fit-out and refurbishment inside occupied buildings where the tenancy next door is still trading.
  • Council-conditioned works with a noise management plan attached to the approval.

More features

  • 3mm Sound Insulation Felt — the mass layer that blocks transmission (28 dB build only)
  • 190gsm Waterproof Fibreglass Backing — off-white inner face, keeps the wool dry

FAQs

What does 28 dB actually mean on site?

STC is a laboratory transmission rating, not a guarantee of on-site reduction. Real-world performance depends on coverage, gaps, and flanking paths around and under the barrier. Gaps are what kill acoustic curtains — a 5% open area undoes most of the rating.

How do I fix them?

Through the eyelets to scaffold tube, temporary fence or hoarding frame. Overlap the panels; do not butt them.

Which rating do I need?

If the works have a council noise condition or a noise management plan, take the number to your acoustic consultant.

Are they weatherproof?

The PVC tarpaulin face and fibreglass backing are. Store them dry between jobs, wet wool is heavy wool.
