Portable Air Scrubber – 1600m3/hr HEPA | Scrubber, Exhaust, Negative Pressure
One machine, three jobs: recirculating scrubber, directional exhaust, or negative pressure.
A 19.5 kg HEPA air scrubber that draws only 200 watts, and four of them run off one 10 amp circuit without tripping a thing. The HSS1600 pulls air through a G4 pre-filter and an H13 HEPA, then exhausts through four separate outlets you can duct, redirect or block off individually.
- 1698m3/hr - 1000 CFM Airflow 26.5 m³/min, variable across the speed range
- 200 W Draw run four units on a single 10 A circuit, a real constraint on live sites
- H13 HEPA + G4 Pre-Filter two-stage capture, with the pre-filter protecting your HEPA spend
- 4-Direction Exhaust duct any outlet, block off the rest, reconfigure without an accessory kit
- Variable Speed match airflow to the room instead of running flat out
- Stacks 4 High a full set travels in one footprint in the back of a van
- 19.5 kg one person carries it between sites
- Seamless Polyethylene Shell dent proof, no seams to leak, wipes down for decontamination
- 305mm Inlet accepts 12" flex duct for remote pickup
- Filter Change Indicator a light, not a guess
- Circuit Breaker and Industrial Socket daisy-chain power between units
The machine that actually gets to the work area
Most air scrubbing gear is specified for open sites and then wheeled up against the reality of a third-floor fit-out, an occupied office, or a stairwell with a turn in it. At 19.5 kg with a moulded carry handle, this one goes where the work is. Stack four for transport, split them across rooms on arrival.
Because the exhausts are individually ductable and individually blockable, the same unit runs as a recirculating scrubber in an occupied space, as a directional exhaust pushing filtered air out a window, or as a negative pressure machine on a small containment. No accessory kit, no second machine.
Silica dust and indoor work
Since 1 September 2024 the NSW WHS (Crystalline Silica Substances) Regulation has required PCBUs to control silica processing, run a silica risk control plan, carry out air monitoring, provide health monitoring and train workers on the risk. Cutting, grinding, sanding and drilling indoors puts respirable dust into air that has nowhere to go. HEPA air scrubbing works on the airborne fraction that on-tool extraction misses.
Confirm the specific controls your risk assessment requires. This machine is equipment, not advice.

Questions
Can it create negative pressure? Yes, duct one exhaust outside and block the remaining three.
How many can I run off one circuit? At 200 W each, four units draw roughly 3.5 A total. A 10 A circuit handles it comfortably.
